Delete your URflashcards account.
For a currently signed-in Account, use the protected in-app flow when you can sign in, or request deletion by verified email when you cannot. This page explains what URflashcards deletes, how to remove local data, and which limited provider records may remain.
For users who have a URflashcards Account
- Sign in to URflashcards.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Cloud Sync.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion prompts.
URflashcards may ask you to confirm the same signed-in account again. After deletion starts, the learning app, ads, purchases, and Cloud Sync stay off until deletion and local cleanup finish. If the app closes mid-process, reopen it and use the protected recovery screen to continue.
Data removed with the account
- Your URflashcards Firebase Authentication account.
- Your cloud-synced profile, progress, statistics, settings, study-time records, custom cards, deleted-card state, and other data under your account.
- The RevenueCat customer profile and purchase history linked to your Firebase account ID. URflashcards continues only after RevenueCat confirms deletion or prior absence; unconfirmed queued work is retried.
- Account data, downloaded course packs, device-local free or rewarded Pair Unlocks, and other application preferences stored by URflashcards on the device that completes the in-app deletion.
The age group selected during local privacy setup is a device setting, not an account-linked record. It remains after account deletion so the same advertising protections continue to apply. Use Settings > Privacy & Data > Update Age Group before deletion, clear URflashcards app storage, or uninstall the app if you also want to remove that local setting.
Local data on other devices is not remotely reachable by URflashcards. Clear URflashcards app storage or uninstall the app on each other device where you also want its offline copy removed.
Reset only your current target language
In Settings > Reset to Fresh Start, Reset Progress deletes progress and custom-card data only for the current target language. Your other languages, profile, URflashcards account, and Premium access remain.
If you use Cloud Sync, URflashcards removes that language's cloud copy while online or saves a reset for retry. If the retry cannot be stored safely, the app warns you so old cloud data is not silently treated as deleted.
Use email if the app is not available
Email support@urflashcards.com from the address associated with your account and include Account Deletion Request in the subject line.
We verify the request before using the same protected provider, cloud-data, and account-deletion order as the app. We may ask for additional confirmation if the request does not come from the account email address. You can also use email to request deletion of specified account data.
Security and provider records
A minimal deletion-security record containing your Firebase user ID and deletion status has no automatic expiry while deletion is processing or needs retry. This record prevents account data from being recreated while Firebase Authentication deletion is unconfirmed. After Authentication deletion succeeds and the record is completed, it is marked to expire two hours later; Firebase's scheduled TTL removal can occur later.
Limited security or operational logs and Google Play transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, or legal records may remain with service providers under their documented retention policies. These records are not used to keep your URflashcards account active.
